We strive to provide exceptional customer service and support. Whether you have questions.
Most people looking for a cab service in Varanasi are here for something that matters to them: darshan at Kashi Vishwanath, the evening aarti, or a family puja at the ghats that’s been months in the planning. Others are in town for work at BHU or one of the hospitals. And some have just landed at Babatpur and only want to get to the hotel.
LetsCabs covers all of these trips. We handle airport and station pickups, local sightseeing, outstation taxis to Prayagraj, Ayodhya and beyond, and Tempo Travellers for families who’d rather stay together on the road. Every booking comes with a driver.
Two people heading from the airport to a hotel near Assi Ghat need a very different car from a family of twelve covering Varanasi, Prayagraj and Ayodhya in three days.
For one or two passengers, a sedan does the job. Suitcases and kids usually mean an SUV, just for the extra room. Once the group grows beyond that, a single Tempo Traveller is far easier than three cars trying to keep each other in sight through Lanka traffic.
Let us know who’s travelling and roughly what you have planned, and we’ll suggest what fits.
Anyone who has sat in traffic near Godowlia knows a short ride can take half an hour. There’s no clever way around it, so it helps to have a driver who deals with it every day.
Most local bookings are for ordinary things: a hotel to the temple, a station drop, a hospital appointment, a family function in Sigra or Lanka, some shopping, a meeting. You can book the taxi for one ride or keep it for the whole day.
With elderly parents along, the full-day option is usually the better call. The driver waits nearby and comes back when you ring.
First-time visitors are often surprised to find that cars don’t go into the old city. Kashi Vishwanath, the ghats and the lanes around them are reached on foot or by rickshaw, so your driver will take you as close as vehicles are allowed, usually near Godowlia or Maidagin. From there you walk. It gets crowded, so comfortable footwear is a good idea.
Everyone plans the day differently, but one common version starts at Assi Ghat early for the morning programme, with a boat ride if you’re up for it. After breakfast comes darshan at Kashi Vishwanath. The afternoon is a good time to drive out to Sarnath, which feels calm and green after the city, before heading back for the evening aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. With another half-day, the BHU campus or Ramnagar Fort across the river are worth adding.
Since the same driver stays with you all day, you won’t be haggling for a new ride outside every stop.
For a lot of families, Varanasi is only the first stop.
Prayagraj and Ayodhya often get added to the same trip over two or three days. Vindhyachal works well as a day trip for Maa Vindhyavasini darshan, and people who’ve been to Sarnath sometimes carry on to Bodh Gaya. Other routes we get asked about regularly:
You can book one-way, a round trip, or keep one car and driver for the whole circuit. Around Magh Mela or Kumbh, vehicles across the region get taken quickly, so don’t leave it late if your dates fall then.
On longer trips, count the bags as well as the people. Five people on a week-long pilgrimage carry a lot more than five people off to Sarnath for the afternoon.
Family pilgrimages are rarely small. There are grandparents, a couple of uncles, cousins, the kids, and plenty of luggage.
Spread that across three cars and one always ends up stuck at a signal while the others wait by the road. In a Tempo Traveller the group sits together, the bags go in one place, and the elders get a proper seat instead of being squeezed into the back.
Groups in Varanasi usually book them for:
For more comfort on a long drive, ask about the Urbania. Availability depends on your dates. Tell us the headcount and roughly how much luggage you’re bringing, and we’ll suggest a size.
Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport is at Babatpur, outside the city, and the drive in often takes longer than people expect. For an early flight, build in some margin.
Send us your flight details. The driver can wait at arrivals, or collect you from your hotel or home when you’re flying out. Some travellers skip Varanasi entirely and head straight from the airport to Prayagraj or Ayodhya, and that can be arranged too.
Varanasi has more than one railway station, and it catches visitors out more often than you’d think.
Most trains arrive at Varanasi Junction (Cantt). Some come into Banaras station (the old Manduadih) or Kashi. A good number of long-distance trains stop at Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, which almost everyone still calls Mughalsarai. It’s across the Ganga and a proper drive from town.
Check your ticket, tell us the station, and the car will be sent there. Arriving with a big group and plenty of bags? A Tempo Traveller can go instead, subject to availability.
We offer a fleet of clean, comfortable, and regularly maintained vehicles for every travel requirement.
Not everyone here is on pilgrimage. Companies need cars for visiting executives, client pickups, meetings around the city, airport and station runs, and corporate events.
When your office needs cabs regularly, the transport can be planned around your schedule, so nobody is scrambling to book at the last minute.
Moving staff to and from work every day takes more organising than it looks, particularly with more than one shift.
ETS covers scheduled employee pickup and drop on planned routes, with GPS tracking so your admin team can see where each cab is. Share your shift timings and roughly where your people live, and the routes can be worked out from there.
Some days just keep going: a puja in the morning, relatives on the other side of town, shopping near Vishwanath Gali, then a meeting you’d nearly forgotten about.
On a day like that, hiring a car with a driver by the hour, for the full day or for a longer trip is a lot less tiring than booking ride after ride. The driver handles traffic and parking, and knows where to drop you once the lanes get too narrow for a car.
The reasons are mostly practical. Every car comes with a driver, and vehicle sizes run from sedans to Tempo Travellers, so a couple and a family of fifteen can both book with us. Local rides, sightseeing, station and airport transfers, outstation trips and office transport are all covered. You share the plan, and the car is matched to it rather than the other way round.
Send your pickup point, destination, date, time and number of passengers. We'll suggest a suitable vehicle and confirm the booking.
Close to it, but not at the gate. Cars aren't allowed into the old city, so you'll be dropped at the nearest accessible point, usually around Godowlia, and walk from there.
That's how most visitors do it: ghats, temples and Sarnath, then back in time for the evening aarti.
ETS is a scheduled employee pick-up and drop service designed for organizations requiring safe and reliable staff transportation.
Yes. Just remember it's across the river, so the drive into Varanasi takes a while.
